  Ministry of Missions

The Ministry of Missions is asking you to donate any "gently used household items" that would help foster children who have turned 18 and forced to live on their own get started. Think of what you would need to set up housekeeping in your first apartment.

When a child ages out of the Foster Care program at 18 years they are on their own! They have to furnish their own apartment among other "adult" things they may not be ready for.

Please bring these items to the Church Fellowship Hall until September 1, 2013 and they will be delivered to the Gaston Country Foster Care.

         THANK YOU

Please join us the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall to crochet or knit a prayer shawl. We will teach you if you do not know how to crochet or knit. Have you ever had one of those days where you just needed a hug? We've all been there ourselves, and we also have those friends who need a hug more than we do. If you're looking for a special project to make for a friend in need, now is the time to discover the "Prayer Shawl Ministry". A Prayer Shawl is the greatest gift you can give someone who is having a tough time in life or someone who is recovering from a serious surgery or unfortunate illness and they just need a "pick me up".  Let's share God's love in hug.
