Introductory Level Adult Class for Beginners/Intermediate in Drawing (Ages 14 & up) 
Fall 2011 Term: Location: First Presbyterian Church, Cherryville, NC

Instructor: Carly Brock

Tuesdays 10:45 am-12:00 pm

Description: This class is designed for first-time/beginning to intermediate students in all mediums of drawing.  Students will be taught a solid foundation within drawing and will develop their ability to see the world through the eyes of an artist and Christian.  This class will work with graphite, charcoal, ink, acrylic and pastels.  We will be focusing this term on learning figure drawing techniques (including facial features), drawing field studies (outside), and paintings inspired by creation.  Classes are free and open to all, but we do ask for a $12.00 donation to help offset the cost of supplies if possible.

Art for Kids

Introductory Level Class for Beginners in Drawing
 Ages 7-13 years

Fall 2011 Term: Location: First Presbyterian Church, Cherryville, NC

Mondays 4:00 pm- 5:00 pm

Description: This class is designed for students in all mediums of drawing.  Students will learn key principles of design through the hands on creation and study of shapes, values, colors, and shadows.  This class will work with many different mediums of art starting with pencil and will be very open for students to explore and express themselves through their art making.  We will be focusing on controlling our mediums, becoming better artists, having fun, and making art for the love of it.  Classes are free and open to all, but we do ask for a $10.00 donation to help offset the cost of supplies if possible.
